Mink Island Potluck 2007

We had 45 plus who turned out for the 2007 Mink Island Potluck!
(not including our canine friends, who kept showing up for handouts)
Plenty of good food and conversation were enjoyed.
We saw old photos, mink island t-shirts, and heard the tales from days gone by.
New ideas were offered up - a progressive dinner, a mink island gift store, a map of all homes on the island.
All in all a wonderful evening with a diverse crowd who had one thing in common....
we love the 1000 islands and especially ours!
A big thank you to Jim and Cheryl (and family) for hosting this fun evening.

Thank you to Jim and Cheryl for hosting a wonderful event. As one the new guys, we enjoyed meeting everyone and swapping stories and wisdom from the veterans. The food was amazing and the Capt. Morgan refreshing.

Thanks, Lisa, for the terrific invitations and organization.

To all our Mink Island friends: We could never have imagined that this little island could have so many amazing people (and dogs). Thank you for accepting us as one of your own. Please feel free to stop in at #12 at the northeast end of the trail.

The Mayor (Cruz) is up for re-election and wishes all of you a wonderful summer. He'll be visiting you on the campaign "trail" in coming weeks. As most of you know by now, throwing a stick is not a wise choice for a campaign contribution. Just ignore him and tell him to go home.

In a surprise announcement, Brady, from #9 has announced that he is launching an exploratory committee for his possible candidacy for Mayor. His run may be clouded by shameful allegations of homosexual relations with multiple unnamed canine partners. His running mate, Mason, also of #9, would probably be the better choice to run, based on his ability to "come from behind in a 3 man race".

As Lisa has coined: "A little island - a lot of fun" Perfect...

hmmm, Otto, Cruz may have a little problem with re-election. Those allegations being made about Brady? click here

have Cruz leave a bag of unmarked bills on the dock at 7 mink island and no one will be the wiser.

Cruz may leave something unmarked on the dock at #7, but I doubt it will be money.
